Synopsis
When semi-pro crooner and failed clothing manufacturer Larry Bloom and his long-suffering wife Helen retire to Florida, the last thing they expect is to have the US authorities and world’s press descend on them. Set in the near future when election voting has become both fully computerised and supposedly precise, and where all citizens, once they have registered, are now required by law to vote, Larry is the one person who has forgotten to do so. To his horror (and his wife’s irritation) he finds himself holding solely in his hands the decision on who will be the next President of the United States. …But Larry’s children have their own problems. Josh, the son, a Cosmetic Dentist living in New York has just been dumped by his boyfriend and to makes things worse is facing a malpractice suit while Brenda his 'innocent' nineteen year old daughter, is secretly running an online brothel. So, when an over zealous 'has been' of a journalist breaks in to seek a world exclusive, the family dynamic soon kicks in and relegates the election to second place.
